Spring Term Newsletter 2018

Can you believe we are approaching the end of the first ½ term already with only 2 weeks left before a break? We welcome more new children and families into Preschool, and its lovely to see their happy faces arriving each morning.

Just in case you are all wondering about the garden!! I thought I would explain, we have been promised by the gardener AWP landscapes that the work will all be done by the time we return after our break. This was supposed to be the case over Christmas but I have been told Ash (from AWP Landscape) had a car accident at Christmas which has halted the time frame.

The topic the children have been concentrating on of this term ½ term has been “Winter and snow” after our break they will be looking growing so keep an eye on the notice boards for daily requests.

We will be taking a visit to see some lambs down on the farm on Tuesday 20th March travelling by coach, if your child does not normally attend a Tuesday morning session and you would like them to come along with us please speak to Kim or Jenny so that we can make necessary arrangements.

British values

Please could we ask for your support in reinforcing our “British value” – we need to work together and in particular look at “respect and tolerance” “food and table manners” see poster for them all in preschool.

Fundraising:

Why Do We Fundraise? - and Ways You Can All Help

Fundraising is essential for our local Pre-School. We rely on the voluntary work of the committee members, along with the generosity of supporters to help fund their existence. This helps to improve standards, equipment and the environment for your child.

Every penny we raise goes back into the Pre-School to replace worn or broken books, toys and craft essentials as we are not a business and we are not about making a profit.

Thank You!

The Pre-School are thrilled with a record breaking £645.00 raised so far at the recent crow fair, well done and thank you for your support and generosity and to everyone who helped on the day.

Bonus Ball

This is a very easy way for you to help our funds and possibly win something too. There are some numbers still available, Contact Annelise Whalley for more information. Numbers cost £1.00 each. If you would like to set up a standing order please speak to Auntie Gill or Annelise for details.
