Autumn Term Newsletter 2019

The children have enjoyed some Great Britain activities last half term and we will be moving onto Italy and then on to Christmas and the North and South Poles, for this half term.

We will be taking part in the village tree lights at St Stephens’s church on the 6th December. For this the children will all be decorating a Christmas ornament to decorate our pre-school tree with.

Our last week of term will be our Christmas jumper week, for a donation of a £1 for save the children, pre-school children are invited to attend their sessions in their Christmas jumper for the whole of the week.

Christmas Party

We will be holding our Christmas party on Friday the 13th December. We will be having a magician, party food and games. If your child does not usually attend a Friday they are welcome to swap their session, please speak to a member of staff for arrangements.

Parents are welcome from 2pm as the children will be singing a few Christmas songs before Father Christmas makes an appearance. Parents can enjoy a warm drink and mince pie during this time.

Christmas Holiday Club

We will be holding our holiday club for the week of the 16th December; we will be having lots of Christmas themed activities for your children to enjoy. Please email or speak to a member of staff to book your child a place.

Prices are:

8am – 6pm £30.
8am -1pm / 1pm-6pm (half day) £18.
9am – 3pm £25 all include snack, please bring a packed lunch.
10% discount for siblings.

Chester Zoo

On January the 22nd the children will be visiting Chester zoo, this will be a very exciting trip. There will be no charge for this as it is a free educational trip from the zoo and pre-school will be paying for the coach. All pre-school children are welcome even if they do not normally attend pre-school on this day.

Please bring Children to pre-school for 8:50 ready for the coach to arrive at 9am to take us there. We will leave Chester zoo at 2:30pm ready to return to pre-school for 3pm. Please bring your child’s car seat for this trip.

Easy Fundraising

Please remember whilst shopping online, simply log on to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and register Moulton Pre-School as your chosen charity. This website has links for hundreds of on-line stores including eBay, Amazon, John Lewis, and Argos. The online stores will indicate how much they will donate to us at no extra cost to you!

Bonus Ball

This is a very easy way for you to help our funds and possibly win something too. There are some numbers still available, Contact Auntie Sam for more information. Numbers cost £1.00 each. If you would like to set up a standing order please speak to an Auntie for further details.

Fundraising

We would like to say a huge thank you to the fundraising team for holding our fizz fashion event in October. It was a great success! Thank you to the parents who came and supported us, your support means a lot to us. We raised £502 which will help towards the cost of new toys.

About Pre School

Session Places

We offer places for 36 children in any one session, in the lovely location of St Stephens Church Hall and we have our own large, secure, outdoor play area. Please see our Ofsted inspection reports. we are supported by our wonderful staff members, five qualified at degree level and all others to NVQ Level 3 or working towards.

Funded Places

Funded places are available for all 3-4yr olds and now some 2yr-olds can also get funded childcare. To see if you qualify contact your nearest children's centre. We also accept 30 hours funding. 30 hours free childcare - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Please follow the link to see if you qualify.

Educational Visits

We also have visits from people who help us in the community, like police, fire officers and nurses and have important links to Moulton primary School. Our Pre-schoolers also feed into many other schools in the area including Davenham CE, Kingsmead, and Winsford Schools.

Active Involvement

Parents of children who attend pre-school are encouraged to become actively involved by joining the committee. Many committee members even stay on to support the group for long after their children have moved on to "big" school.
