Moulton Pre-School: Auntie Jenny

Auntie Jenny

Supervisor

BSc (Hons)

I have worked in early years for seven and a half years. I started off by volunteering with Moulton pre-school for over six months before being hired. I trained while working to gain my level 3 in child care and education by attending college at night. I started being an early year’s practitioner and then when an opportunity came along a few years ago to become a supervisor, I applied for the job and got it. I have now been an early year’s supervisor for over 3 years.

When I am not at work I am a part of the world’s biggest women’s organisation Girl guiding, where I am a leader in charge of a local Brownie unit and an assistant leader in charge of a local Rainbow unit. I also like to spend time with my friends and family, as well as looking after my cat Willow and occasionally going on holiday.

My hobbies include swimming, going for walks, going to cinema or theatre or occasionally a concert, sewing/ Quilting and have just got into escape rooms.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of science degree (Hons), CACHE level 3 diploma for the children and young people’s workforce, as well as a variety of different courses/training though work such as paediatric first aid, autism awareness, safeguarding children etc.

Thing I love about working at Moulton Preschool is that we are like a family and I love the way the children’s faces light up when they achieve a task for the first time and how their confidence and personality grows in the time they are with us, using the resources and activities that we provide to enable them develop and grow ready for when they move on to primary school.
